Silk City Films is currently in production of "Friendly Tolerable Characters of Pompton"!
In Silk City Film's fourth full length historical documentary, the veteran film company takes on Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, which has an uplifting suburban feel, but do not let that fool you! In spite of that family town vibe, the Borough is absolutely steeped in history. In true documentarian style, writer, director and narrator Paul Bastante ("An American Small Town", Before A Nation" and "Hills & Valleys") weaves the tale of Pompton as few can, creating a tapestry of events explaining the what, where and why.
"Friendly Tolerable Characters" is due to be released to a world premiere party held in Pompton Lakes, N.J. in the Winter. The residents of the community will be able attend the world premiere event and to bask in the history of their beloved town. The best part is, that due to the generosity of our sponsors, the residents will enjoy the world premiere free of charge as a community event.
